Initial Consultation
A full case history is taken, which includes present and
past medical history, as well as personal history such as
diet, habits, emotional state, etc, to form a diagnosis
based on the whole person physically, mentally, and
emotionally. The tongue and pulse are also examined to help
establishing the correct diagnosis.
It is then followed by the acupuncture treatment, which
lasts between 20 and 30 minutes.
The overall initial consultation lasts for about one hour.
Following/subsequent
Consultations
Frequency and length of
treatment vary according to the condition and the
individual. An average of six treatments is usually needed
to feel some change. In some cases, positive effects are
felt after just 1 or 2 sessions.
However, some patients may need treatment over a long
period of time. It all depends on he condition treated and
on each person.
The consultation starts by an update on the current
symptoms, the tongue and the pulse. It is then followed by
the acupuncture treatment.
Appointments
The
initial consultation lasts for 1-1.5 hours at a cost of
£48.
The subsequent consultations lasts 40-50 min at a cost of
£38.
